During 18-19 September 2019, a Training Course on Ocean Colour Remote Sensing – Data, processing and application of satellite products to construct phytoplankton bloom indicators for GES assessment in the Black Sea was organized by IO-BAS partner in Varna Bulgaria.

Practical exercises with SeaDAS tool took place. Threshold methods, statistical techniques for detection, mapping and analysis of phytoplankton blooms both in shelf and open sea have been agreed to be included in the Case Study “Development of indicator thresholds for phytoplankton blooms frequency, areal coverage and extend based on satellite data”.
